This is a time of great change for Norwich Zen Buddhist Priory, as we have to move from the rented property that has been our home since 2013. We have been fortunate to find a new home, a short distance away. This will be temporary and allow us to pursue our aim of purchasing a property later in the year. We are able to rent a lovely first-floor flat. It is not as large a property as our current one, but it should work well as a place for the Sangha to continue meeting together and as a residence for me. This will give us an opportunity to take stock and plan our next steps, which will hopefully lead to us finding a long-term home.

All is going well as we prepare to move, although there’s much to do. Many thanks to everyone who has offered help of various kinds – it really is greatly appreciated.

We shall be moving on Saturday 25th January. For details of how to find the Priory after this date (as well as details about car-parking and securing bicycles), please contact me.

The Priory’s phone number will remain the same. However, there may be some disruption to the service around the time of the move and just after. If you are unable to make contact on the landline, please use my mobile number: 07864 187484.

The Priory’s normal schedule will continue until just before the move, up to the Dharma Evening on Thursday 23rd. There won’t be events at the new Priory during the week after the move, but people will be welcome to drop by to help with unpacking or just for a cup of tea and a look around (but please phone first, to check that I’ll be in). The usual schedule of events will start up again from Tuesday 4th February.

There’s plenty to do at this busy time, but this is an opportunity for the Sangha to come together and make this next step a success. I look forward to welcoming you to the new Priory.

With best wishes and in gassho,

Reverend Leoma
